While we at HirMon & Associates are widely regarded as "easy to work with," this information is provided to minimize misunderstandings and give all our clients a level playing field on which to work. - Quotes - A detailed description for all work done by HirMon & Associates is provided to our clients prior to work beginning on any project. As the mood strikes us, we may work up one or two simple renditions for things like a web page design or a unique website program, but this depends on our activity level at any given time.
- Security deposit - A non-refundable security deposit equaling
50% of the cost cited in the formal quote we present is required before beginning work on any project. Depending on the time required to complete a project, the following may apply:
- After 30 days from the security deposit and additional 25% of the project quote is required to keep the project moving forward.
- On completion of the project, the balance of the quote is due.
- Payments - We accept payments online with a major credit card. We no longer accept personal checks, but corporate checks and POs are welcome.
- Holidays and Vacations - We take off all major holidays and the 3rd week in September for vacation. At least 2 days per week (not necessarily Saturday and Sunday) are also "down-time" in the office.
- Invoicing - We provide invoices for tax purposes as a normal matter of doing business.
Exclusivity
- We do not, and cannot, work "exclusively" for
any one client or agency. This is to protect the needs of
our existing client base.Right
of Refusal - We reserve the right to refuse services to
any individual or agency with or without comment.Right
of Termination - We reserve the right to terminate any
project or agreement which, in our opinion, compromises the
reputation of HirMon & Associates, Inc., working
arrangements with other clients or poses a potential legal
liability. This includes, but is not limited to, clients
that prove to be abusive or difficult or habitual failure to
provide necessary information to us to complete their
projects in a timely manner, fraudulent misrepresentation of
project goals and information provided and failure to pay
invoices in a timely manner.Project
Suspension - In those rare cases where the client cannot
or will not provide necessary information to complete a
project once it has started, the project is automatically
suspended after 30 days of inactivity. A separate $100 reinstatement
fee may be charged, if necessary.
Specific policies: Websites - - Warranty - All programming included within a website is warranted against defects (such as broken links or missing images and specialty website programming errors) for 30 days after it is launched. This excludes addition of new functionality or substantial revisions to the text contents.
- Hosting - Website hosting fees are separate from website design charges, since a number of our clients have pre-arranged for such services prior to contacting HirMon & Associates.
- Search Engines - While we insure that all websites are search engine compatible, our clients must recognize that they are ultimately responsible for the marketing of the website to make it both productive and successful.
- Design Changes - Up to three changes in the design and appearance of the website are included in each quote.
- Page contents - We install the initial text for new websites. Afterwards, it is the responsibility of the client to make incidental changes to the information through the Page Content Management System included with all new sites.
- Not optional - For all new sites, the Page Content Management System is not optional.
- Additional Charges May Apply When - For clients with existing websites that elect to omit upgrading to the Page Content Managment system, up to three changes per page to the text may be made during website development. After that number of changes, an additional charge for Spot Maintenance is applied. On completion of the project and the website is launched, further changes to the text are also subject to a Spot Maintenance charge.
As a reminder: Options are available for future website maintenance as described on this page.
