Whoever said No, you can't do that on a website was an idiot.

Event calendar

This calendar started back in the days when a "wall style" calendar was considered essential. Today almost no one uses a wall calendar presentation (but it's still there if someone elects to have it installed).

This program does what our clients want: To be able to put items on their calendar, by themselves, whenever they need to. It goes a little further than that, though:

  • An event can be defined as Persistent or Normal. Persistent events are those that repeat periodically (e.g. weekly, quarterly, whatever) and Normal events are those that are shown and "disappear" after their life span has expired.
  • Persistent events are shown at the top of the calendar listing and can be setup so that they appear in a specific order, if desired.
  • Normal events are defined through a very straightforward online admin program that looks like this screen shot. Also included:
    • "Instant popup help"
    • Built-in tutorial (About this program)
    • Can make either the Title of the event or the Description line and independent link.
    • Can insert links within the description.
    • Fully automated updates.
  • What visitors see can be any of 4 different displays (format per client request and contents are updated by the website owners):

Of course, if the display isn't quite what you had in mind - we can make it look the way you want it to!
