What we do and how we do it -

You know your business and how it works.

Depending on your experience, though, the Internet may represent a dark alley with mysterious shadows lurking around every corner.

Whether you already have ideas about what your website should look like and do, or need assistance for creating a site from the ground up - HirMon & Associates guides you through every step from design concept through getting the website up and running (jargon: called "launching a website").

We also avoid the pitfalls of agencies that have done several sites previously for certain types of businesses. We always look "outside the box" and avoid the trap of making "cookie cutter" sites that rarely live up to their owner‘s expectations.

One of our most important talents is to avoid "missing the obvious!"

As a quick example: Even if you don‘t need a shopping cart for your products and services - why not include a simple facility that allows your clients to pay their invoices online with a major credit card?

Your clients will love it and appreciate the convenience in today‘s world!

We also specialize in revitalizing older sites for better efficiency and performance by bringing them up to contemporary Internet standards.

New sites -

Our approach to creating a new website is based on your needs and preferences with a dash of our experience in creating websites that range from one-page placeholders (which we don‘t necessarily recommend) to high-end, multi-function dynamic sites with more bells and whistles than most people ever imagine.

On average a new website from HirMon & Associates start from just $850, and at a minimum always include:

  • Cosmetic design by Jacqueline Hirsch (the Hir in HirMon) with up to three design revisions.

  • Translation of the approved design into a functioning web site.

  • All website mechanics, such as link creation, search engine setup, photo and graphic placement.

  • Install the initial wording on web pages for you to revise (next item...).

  • Our Page Content Management System that allows you to change the contents (jargon: the text on web pages) personally and without special skills. (Try it here!)

  • A high-end contact form system that works the way it should, and is owner updateable online.

  • Installation, setup and testing on the web hosting service of your choice.

Web hosting is not included, since a number of our clients have pre-arranged for such services in advance. If required, we can also provide web hosting as an annual subscription for and additional $195/year (about $16.25 per month; more details are available on this page).

Site upgrades and overhauls -

Seriously: When was the last time you looked at your own website?

Two of our clients in the past year went to their website and found out - it no longer existed!

Believe it or not - it happens! And while we hope your site is still up consider this: When was the last time it was updated?

If your answer is more than 6 months, your site needs help - now. Sites that are not updated regularly (at least monthly) are historically some of the poorest performing sites on the Internet.

More importantly, if you are hesitant to send your clients to your website for any reason, it might be time for a review and consider either upgrading or replacing it.

Tip: One of the most effective ways to market a website is to add the phrase: Just go to my website and [do something] You will hear something similar on just about every news broadcast and commercial advertisement. Now you know why.

The only catch: Unless your website has the support to [do something] - there may not be much point! Information-only sites are passé. Visitors expect a lot more from today‘s websites.

As with new website design, we work with you drawing on your experience with your site and our expertise in knowing how website visitors think and how websites can be made more effective.

We recommend starting with out Website Review service. This service involves:

  • Reviewing the existing site and comparing it to similar sites and contemporary website design standards.

  • Documenting functionality problems.

  • Make recommendations based on the results of our review.

This service runs $100 and includes a Word/WordPerfect document detailing all findings. Use it as you will.

Upgrades and overhauls start from $400 and up. Seriously - it depends on what needs to be done to bring a site up to par.

  • Website maintenance services, including:

    • Spot Maintenance - to keep a site from dying a slow and miserable death from neglect. We can apply updates to your site "on demand."

    • Ongoing Maintenance - even though our new sites include facilities for owners to upgrade their own sites, sometimes they are so busy, they prefer us to do all the maintenance on their site. By delegating such work, they can focus on running their business.

All work is quoted in a written proposal and we require a 25% deposit on the final amount cited in the proposal before starting on your site work.
